Hi there! I'm Maddy Platt.
I'm in love with using film-form, especially to tell untold stories. My goal is to work on powerful documentaries that can tell stories from previously unheard and un-platformed voices.
My background was originally in music and events, and I began my journey into the world of film sound through studying Filmmaking at UWE Bristol. Throughout my time at UWE, I honed my skills in location sound recording, mixing and mastering, sound design, SFX recording, Foley, and ADR.
During my studies, I developed my passion for documentary. I have always felt passionate about societal issues and injustices, but was unsure how I could personally make a positive difference about these issues. I feel through creating works such as Encounter's UK Student Award-winning documentary 'Wicked and Bad', I have been able to find my voice, and help others platform their stories.
I'm an aspiring location sound recordist, and am continuing to build my skills in audio post-production, working on my own personal sound library at any chance I get!
